Excuse me, but I feel like it was just 2012. I feel like I was just wandering around campus as a lost little freshman. And now it’s September AGAIN?!? I don’t know where my time goes, but most people who know me would say that it is spent sleeping. They’re correct, I probably have slept 1/3 of this year away. I’m not mad about it though. This is a post coming at you live from procrastination station. I can smell the lingering homework in the air, but I refuse to let this beautiful Labor Day go to waste on economics homework (I promise it will get done later, Mom). September means Alabama football is back, and after Saturday’s win, there is no way to be upset about the month arriving. Downside of September is that it’s still blazing hot in this state. I’m just ready for a chilly night or two. I’m ready to be freezing cold outside and walk inside to the heater on and a candle that smells like apple pie. I’m ready to monogram my pumpkins and hang spider webs on my balcony. A trip home for the Dixie Classic Fair this year doesn’t sound too bad either.
September is also another month spent away from my wonderful family, and we all know how I feel about living so far away from those people. I just submitted my application for the Tory Burch internship in Charlotte, NC for fall 2015, so with a little prayer and some crossed fingers, in a year from now I could be living just ONE HOUR AWAY from my family! Although living in Charlotte would be completely temporary, it would be nice to be back in the great state of North Carolina, just for a little bit.
Today I will be wearing my white jeans one last time before I put them away until next Easter. The feeling of putting my white Joe’s Jeans away in storage is so bitter sweet, although leggings is what to come, so I can’t be upset about that. The controversy of white after Labor Day is still fluttering around me, and I don’t care if it is the trend this season, I just can’t feel like the fall is quickly approaching in a pair of summery whites. With that being said, I vote NO to white bottoms and shoes after Labor Day!
What’s your vote on the tricky topic?
