Welcome to the wonderful month of November. I have been out of town for fall break so I didn’t get to properly wrap up October, but I am happy to see that month go. The temperatures in Alabama are finally dropping, and Christmas decor has lined the shelves. This is truly the most wonderful time of the year.
I spent my Monday morning browsing the Christmas aisles at Hobby Lobby and Big Lots, and I came home with a lot of things I probably didn’t need. This is going to be a winter wonderland of an apartment, I can promise you that. A photo dump of holiday apartment decor will come later this month, closer to December as I start to fully decorate.
I cranked my heater on last night, it smelled like a dead animal but man did it feel good. The winter is always so much cozier, my slippers don’t make my feet sweat, and I feel like all my candles smell stronger when the heat is on. Maybe I’m just nuts? Probably.
So as I unpacked from fall break and reorganized my winter from my summer I found a few pieces that I just really, really love. Black and gold seems to be the theme right now, though I have never liked black anything until now. It just feels like fall, and I’m soaking it all in. You can find this picture on my instagram @carolciener, but I wanted to share it here because the collection is heavenly.
