While I do love a good Bath and Body Works candle, I’m always interested in finding candles from off the beaten path. The day these bad boys came in the mail, was the day my house finally stopped smelling like dog and started smelling more like pink mimosa and island grapefruit. I took a trip to hobby lobby to refresh my living room, I felt like I needed some more gold accents and I needed to move around some coffee table books. My Votivo reed diffuser in Caipirinha Lime finished up the look of my little teal table that I got in my first two years of college. My coffee table got a makeover too, but I am saving that for a later post.
My bar cart got some Votivo love too, adorning an aromatic candle in Island Grapefruit. What is amazing to me is how I can light one, while still having my reed diffusers out, and I can distinctly smell the one that is lit. That is an accomplishment in my book. Some other favorites are the Votivo Society Candle in Wonderful White and any of the candles or diffusers in Pucker up Pink.
Now I know you’re all wondering how to get your hands on these for free, which is why I’m teaming up with Votivo to bring you guys some of my favorites. Enter the giveaway below for your own chance to have Pucker up Pink heaven in your home!
As most of you can tell and may already know, yesterday (August 6th) I graduated from the University of Alabama! Yes, I was three months late due to a few changes of my major, but hey I finished, so that’s all that matters. As many of you also know, my blog has been neglected in the last few months, and for that I am terribly sorry. I do have a reason, school. Finishing my degree this summer required me to take 18 hours, which for those of you who don’t know, thats as many hours as you can take in one semester so it was a full course load. If I had not taken those full 18 hours, I would still be taking classes this fall and not graduating until December. But I persevered, mainly because I
hate dislike school and I was ready to get the heck out of there.
Fast forward from May and I have finally finished. 18 hours of elective credits to finish my degree and I am now the proud holder of a Bachelors of Science in Human Environmental Science degree with a concentration in fashion retail. This is good for both you and I; for you because I am now available to blog full time, sharing more amazing outfits and products that you might not have known about before. And for me, because well, schools out forever (cue the music).
My wonderful family came all the way to Tuscaloosa, AL from North Carolina to support me and watch me walk across that stage. Another major change you may notice is that I’m not longer a blonde! Yes, the blonde lasted a total of maybe six months and now it’s back to my natural color. I was told I was not a good blonde, and I don’t take criticism lightly.
I hope for whoever got this far in the post and who has stuck with my blog during it’s down time will continue to stick with me now that I will be available full time to bring you guys some amazing content. And for those who have stuck with me on social media, thank you for dealing with my personal posts the past couple of months, because quite honestly that is all I have had time for. So here I sit, as a brunette, an assistant manager of a beautiful boutique, and a graduate. Roll Tide.
That’s what they tell you. They say it will ruin your 20s, corrupt your independence, and suck the fun right out of the best four years of your life. People in relationships just do not have as much fun as those single people. You’re restricted to what you can do, when you can do it, and how you can do it. Staying out until 3am? That’s a thing of the past because you better take into consideration what your boyfriend wants to do! He is going to want you to come home, because there is no way that he would go out and have fun with you. Better yet, just stay home, because people in relationships don’t have friends or fun at all.
