1. Get above a 2.500 GPA
This is an easy task to accomplish when you put your mind to it. I’ve struggled with my grades in the past, so I’d like to make it a personal goal to beat this GPA! Reward yourself at the end of the semester with a shopping spree, or a new bag!
2. Keep a planner
Each year I buy a Lilly Pulitzer planner, but I don’t use it or look at it consistently. I’d like to make it a point this semester to take my planner everywhere with me, you never know what you’ll need to look up a date, and it will be nice to know what’s going on each day in my life, especially as I’ve gotten older and taken on bigger responsibility.
3. Maintain an organized desk space
I love my new white desk that I have in my room! On my desk you will find office supplies, a candle, and fresh flowers – ALWAYS! Over the year, I find my desk becoming more of a coat hanger, this semester I would like to keep my desk space clear and use it only for studying! Sitting at a desk to study is proven to a better study habit then trying to lay in bed and learn the material.
4. Time management
This is extremely vague, but I felt like it needed to be said regardless. You guys know about my crazy life, with work, class, two dogs, and a boyfriend. It’s important for me to plan out time to finish my class work and do two peoples laundry, grocery shop, and remember to feed my sweet animals. This probably goes into the “keep a planner” category.
5. Stock up on fall/winter clothing essentials
Pikos, Lulu Lemon leggings, and boots, OH MY! Buying these early in the season will ensure that later in the semester, my money can be devoted to the important things only. Buying basic winter items like boots and vests makes it extremely easy to create outfits for the many cold months to come!
6. Sell your old, buy new!
In a previous post (Living on a college girl budget) I talked a lot about buying and selling from Plato’s Closet. If you have a ton of old jeans and sweaters that you’re sick of, take them to Plato’s! They’ll give you money that you can put towards your new winter clothes!
7. Work then play
Finish your class work, laundry, dishes, etc. then plan a fun night out with friends! I can always enjoy my time out of the house when I know I’m not going to come home to a tornado that has ripped through my living room.
8. Keep up a blog post schedule
As you guys have noticed, I’ve been pretty inconsistent when making my posts. I write when things come to me, but I don’t always post them at the same time. This semester, I’d like to maintain a steady posting schedule so you guys always know when things are coming! Don’t forget to subscribe via email so you will always see when something new is on the blog!
9. Make time for a social life
I know I said work then play, but overall I find it really hard to make time for any kind of play. I can’t tell you the last time I went out, especially taking a full class load this summer. I feel like I’m holding my boyfriend back from going out, because I know he wants me to partake. Honestly, I’d rather be home with my dogs! But this semester I do want to venture out more, make some new friends! Who knows where it will lead me!
