The second installment of the gift guides is here! Hip hip hooray for gifts for your girlfriends!! All of these gifts are under $100 and are perfect as gifts or as stocking stuffers. Most of these items we sell in the store where I work, and the rest are items that I personally have and would recommend to the most picky of your friends. My favorite Mac lipstick can be found on this gift guide, it is the color that I wear the most and the color that I have turned most of my friends onto! The perfume is one that my sweet boyfriend got me for my birthday one year, and I still use it on a daily basis. It is a fresh smell, not too sweet, but just enough to be a daily scent. As a girlfriend gift, I might suggest it in a smaller size, or even in a travel size. I have found that the beautiful top and huge bottle (thanks babe) makes it a little tricky to fit in my travel bags! Also, I have gotten all of my best gal pals those monogram wine glasses in the past, so if that isn’t something that you’ve done as a gift before, I highly recommend! There is nothing better than a cold glass of wine with your initials on it 🙂
And the last item in this list that I will brag on is the candle- while I do not own one (yet), we sell them in my boutique and they are to die for!! I’m hoping someone gets me one before I have to buy myself one, but they are incredible. Volcano is their signature scent, but any of the candles they have smell amazing. Pretty much everything I’ve recommended to you guys smells delicious, I didn’t even do that on purpose, haha. Overall, I hope this sparks some last minute inspiration if you have not finished your Christmas shopping! What are some other things that your girlfriends have loved?!
This is it guys, my first fall outfit! Don’t let that adorable olive top and precious suede hat fool you, I almost died of a heat stroke during this shoot. But I do it for you guys, so I hope you love this outfit as much as I do.
Whether we want to admit it or not, olive is coming in full force this fall. I bought this top from Entourage for just $30, and it also comes in black! It isn’t up on the website yet, so I will link it as soon as it is. Anyways, I paired it with white jeans, because why not wear white jeans after Labor Day? I know I will be. And it also went great with these brown booties and suede hat, because sueded is in just as hard as olive.
Looking forward to mother nature giving us some weather that ISN’T in the 90’s so I can actually enjoy this outfit without sweating to death. But for now, it is for viewing pleasure only here in the state of Alabama.
While I do love a good Bath and Body Works candle, I’m always interested in finding candles from off the beaten path. The day these bad boys came in the mail, was the day my house finally stopped smelling like dog and started smelling more like pink mimosa and island grapefruit. I took a trip to hobby lobby to refresh my living room, I felt like I needed some more gold accents and I needed to move around some coffee table books. My Votivo reed diffuser in Caipirinha Lime finished up the look of my little teal table that I got in my first two years of college. My coffee table got a makeover too, but I am saving that for a later post.
My bar cart got some Votivo love too, adorning an aromatic candle in Island Grapefruit. What is amazing to me is how I can light one, while still having my reed diffusers out, and I can distinctly smell the one that is lit. That is an accomplishment in my book. Some other favorites are the Votivo Society Candle in Wonderful White and any of the candles or diffusers in Pucker up Pink.
Now I know you’re all wondering how to get your hands on these for free, which is why I’m teaming up with Votivo to bring you guys some of my favorites. Enter the giveaway below for your own chance to have Pucker up Pink heaven in your home!
As most of you can tell and may already know, yesterday (August 6th) I graduated from the University of Alabama! Yes, I was three months late due to a few changes of my major, but hey I finished, so that’s all that matters. As many of you also know, my blog has been neglected in the last few months, and for that I am terribly sorry. I do have a reason, school. Finishing my degree this summer required me to take 18 hours, which for those of you who don’t know, thats as many hours as you can take in one semester so it was a full course load. If I had not taken those full 18 hours, I would still be taking classes this fall and not graduating until December. But I persevered, mainly because I
hate dislike school and I was ready to get the heck out of there.
Fast forward from May and I have finally finished. 18 hours of elective credits to finish my degree and I am now the proud holder of a Bachelors of Science in Human Environmental Science degree with a concentration in fashion retail. This is good for both you and I; for you because I am now available to blog full time, sharing more amazing outfits and products that you might not have known about before. And for me, because well, schools out forever (cue the music).
My wonderful family came all the way to Tuscaloosa, AL from North Carolina to support me and watch me walk across that stage. Another major change you may notice is that I’m not longer a blonde! Yes, the blonde lasted a total of maybe six months and now it’s back to my natural color. I was told I was not a good blonde, and I don’t take criticism lightly.
I hope for whoever got this far in the post and who has stuck with my blog during it’s down time will continue to stick with me now that I will be available full time to bring you guys some amazing content. And for those who have stuck with me on social media, thank you for dealing with my personal posts the past couple of months, because quite honestly that is all I have had time for. So here I sit, as a brunette, an assistant manager of a beautiful boutique, and a graduate. Roll Tide.
